The adhesive tapes with PE foam carriers are used in various fields due the combination of a functional carrier and extremely effective pressure sensitive adhesives. For example, the PE foams are characterized by their low density and resistance to good climatic conditions and are used as adhesive tapes for isolation, leakproof and protection. For example, the PE tapes are used as cross-linked polyethylene foams with closed cell surface that provides a good stabilization with the pressure sensitive adhesives. Since the cross-linked PE foams absorb well the water – along with the water resistant and pressure sensitive adhesives- they can be used also in open air in the areas expose to high humidity.
